Juventus coach Allegri concedes Pogba could miss entire preseason

Juventus coach Max Allegri concedes Paul Pogba could miss the entire preseason.

Pogba missed much of last season due to a summer knee injury and complications from surgery. The France midfielder is again missing this summer's US tour as his injury problems continue.

Allegri told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Not having had a player like Paul at his disposal for practically the whole season was certainly penalising. Unfortunately in this phase he is carrying out his recovery: the goal is to try to recover him as soon as possible, but at the moment we don't know when he will be able to return to training with the rest of the team."

On the possibilities of seeing him on the field during the summer tour, he added: "No, I don't think I can use him in the next two tests against Milan and Real Madrid. He practically never worked with us, he is proceeding well but it takes caution because the same thing happened even last year: it seemed that everything was ok and then he stopped.

"When I see him, it seems to me that it is better to play, to understand if he can be available to the team."
