Kim, 18, will initially be registered with the B team and he told the club's website: “I feel grateful I can play for a team as big as Brentford.
“I am looking forward to seeing myself doing well here. I knew the facilities were built recently and I think they did a great job with it. As a football player, I can't think of a better place to train, it's an ideal setting that will allow me to grow."
He continued: “I am aware that this is a competitive environment, there are a lot of international players and just playing with them will be a great experience for me. I will work very hard and will do my best so that I can participate in as many matches as possible.
"I see myself as a player that cares about the team's results rather than individual results, I would like to think that I am a smart defensive player."
