Jesus Navas has declared he wants to play on with Sevilla next season.

Now 38, apart from four seasons at Manchester City, the Spaniard has spent his entire 20-year career at Sevilla.

Navas says he is proud to represent the club and is happy to extend his expiring contract.

"Sevilla is my life," he told AS. "It is the team that gave me my sporting values from a young age.

"For me, it is a great honour to be the team captain and the player with the most appearances for the club. I try to be a role model for the young players in our squad. I am proud to be able to continue playing."
