Manchester United defender Raphael Varane is facing an extended spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
The Mirror says initial tests show the Frenchman is facing six weeks out.
Varane had been suffering pain in his ankle for some time, but the issue came to a head in the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal against Sevilla before he was inevitably forced off.
Now the swelling has finally started to subside but United medicos believe he faces an extended spell out.
Indeed, it could spell the end of Varane's season.
It will be a blow to United boss Erik ten Hag, who has already lost Lisandro Martinez for the season to a metatarsal injury.
