Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has admitted his team does not have enough depth.
The Spaniard, who has taken over from Gary O'Neil this summer, knows his team must improve in specific areas.
While Iraola is determined to get more out of the squad at his disposal, he believes central midfield is a particular weakness.
He told talkSPORT: “I couldn't say exact numbers.
“I don't want to talk about players that are from other clubs, I think we should respect this.
“But there are some positions that it is obvious we have to sign because some players have left.
“I am thinking of midfield, because Jefferson (Lerma) left, left back, and there are other positions where if the chances are there, we should take them.
“The club is already working, has been working for the last few months.
“As I said before, all the players are new signings (for me), so I am much more focused on the ones we have, trying to improve them in different positions in pre-season, so I have a more clear idea of our needs, and the positions we need more players."
