Inzaghi frustrated as AC Milan held by Sampdoria

AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi felt they deserved victory after their 2-2 draw with Sampdoria.

Stephan El Shaarawy and Jeremy Menez struck the goals for Milan.

"This is the Milan we'd always seen. Something unthinkable happened against Palermo, as one was an own goal and another Abate's injury, so it was tough to get back into it," Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.

"It's a shame we got the draw today, as I think we deserved to win. If we continue like this then I think we'll become a very good team.

"We played good football today, there were some strange moments in the game and debatable decisions, but I compliment the lads. Mexes hadn't played at all this season, but he gave his all tonight.

"There was some disappointment in the locker room, as we deserved the victory. We were a goal up and pushing for the second, but then right before half-time we conceded the equaliser and that changed things. We know that we have to improve and it's not easy against this Sampdoria side."
