Inter Milan have entered discussions with Tottenham for the signature of Erik Lamela.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Nerazzurri have opened talks with Spurs for the Argentine attacking midfielder who has struggled since arriving in North London.

Pamela, 23, starred for AS Roma before moving to White Hart Lane in 2013 but for much of this summer has been linked with a Spurs exit.

It is understood that a season-long loan fee of £4.4million has been agreed in principle with a permanent option of a £10.3m transfer on the cards.
