Inter Milan midfielder Sensi proud to score in Italy triumph

Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi was delighted to score in Italy's World Cup qualifying win against Lithuania

Sensi came off the bench to help Italy to a 2-0 win.

He said, “On a personal level, it's wonderful. It's what I work for and these three games with Italy also helped me mentally and physically.

“I worked on the problems I had in the past and hope now to always be available.

“We have big objectives at club level, we have won the first three games in the 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign, so 2021 is going very well so far."

The substitutions made the difference, as Federico Chiesa and Sensi came on, immediately combining to create the goal.

“I think the coach pushed the players, gave them the right indications to start the second half strong. I wasn't at that meeting, as I was out warming up and already knew I'd come on straight away."
