Quoted by Sky Italia via TMW, Bergomi said, “Tomori got caught in front of him by Destro. At the limit, the ball can fly over you and go to the far post, but on the first post a defender must never be surprised.
"He is wrong because he does not look at the ball and is too soft."
However, Bergomi is confident Milan coach Stefano Pioli will grab Tomori and teach him where he went wrong on the Milanello training pitch.
He added: "(Milan coach Stefano) Pioli will have seen this situation and will coach Tomori making him improve."
Bergomi played over 500 times for Inter Milan, proving himself a one club player. He also played 81 times for Italy.
Now a first-choice for Milan coach Pioli, the 23 year-old Tomori struggled for minutes in the first-half of the season at Chelsea. He only saw first team action four times before his switch to Italy.
