Inter Milan have been forced to leave new signing Diego Forlan out of their Champions League squad.
Forlan was signed from Atletico Madrid to replace Samuel Eto'o, but he already took part in the Europa League third round preliminary tie.
As he was on the field against Norwegian side Stromsgodet on July 28 and August 4, Forlan cannot play for another club in Europe until January.
Inter confirmed this with a statement on their official website.
