Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte was delighted with matchwinner Christian Eriksen after victory over AC Milan.

Eriksen struck a successful free-kick in injury-time for the Coppa Italia triumph.

Asked if the winner would be good for the Dane, Conte said afterwards, "Definitely, it has to give him energy and we benefit from it too.

"I urged him to beat the wall because I know he has the quality to do well, he's a good guy, we all love him, he's a little shy and we hope that with this goal he will be less so because we need him in this current situation."

Conte added: "I train everyone so that they are ready to play and, at the right moment, get into a gear. I'm happy, we won a derby and let's go into the semifinal of a national trophy."
