Inter Milan coach Conte satisfied with victory over Spezia

Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte was left satisfied with their 2-1 defeat of Spezia.

Achraf Hakimi scored again, while a Romelu Lukaku penalty secured the win, with Roberto Piccoli scoring late on for the visitors.

“This is our sixth consecutive Serie A victory and we welcome this kind of consistency, as it allows us to stay in the top spots of the table," Conte told Sky Sport Italia.

“We knew today could be complicated, as Spezia are well-organised, tried to close up the spaces and go on the counter with some very quick strikers.

“We didn't allow them much, but also didn't create enough in the first half either. It was nonetheless a good victory, especially considering it is our ninth game in a row playing every three days. There's one left before the break, there is some fatigue and there's no point denying that, but we have to grit our teeth and see it through."

He added: “We need to finish this run of 10 games, then it's right to sit down with the club and make some evaluations, with intelligence and calm, to understand what we need to do and don't have to do."
