Inter Milan chief Piero Ausilio has not dropped his pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric.
While a summer attempt led to Real reporting Inter to FIFA, Ausilio has not given up on reviving a deal in January. FIFA cleared Inter of any wrongdoing last month.
Corriere dello Sport says Ausilio has been charged with finding a new midfield signing in January.
Modric tops Inter's shopping list, with Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong another under consideration.
Along with Inter, De Jong is also a €50m target for Barcelona.
