Barcelona have reached an agreement with Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

That's according to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, who is reporting the Catalans have reached a 'fundamental agreement' with the 32-year-old about a Bosman move next summer.

Only 'personal matters' could change the course of negotiations.

Azpilicueta had hoped to extend his contract with Chelsea again. However, the two parties had different ideas about the new contract's duration.

At Stamford Bridge, over-30s are usually given a one-year contract.
