Ibrahim Osman: Why I chose Brighton

Ibrahim Osman has assured FC Nordsjælland of his commitment.

The Ghanaian winger signed for Brighton last week and will move to England in the summer.

"I am incredibly happy and proud to have been given this opportunity to come to the Premier League," said Osman. "I am obviously very much looking forward to that, but I am also fully aware that my focus right now is 100 percent on performing for FC Nordsjælland until this summer.

"We have an important and exciting spring ahead of us, and I will give everything so that we can win as many games as possible. I want to use every match to fight for the team and at the same time build on my own development so that we can do the best we can and that I can be ready for my next chapter in England when the time comes. Therefore, the spring here at FC Nordsjælland is not only important for us as a team, but also an important opportunity for me personally.

"I think that I have developed a lot - both as a person and on the field. And now this opportunity has arisen for me. An opportunity that I am incredibly happy to have had.

" Because I know that I will go somewhere that – just like here at FCN – gives the young players the chance. So I believe that it is a good next step for me, where I can continue the good development I have had both in Ghana and here in Farum."
