Hull City boss Phil Brown is hanging onto his job by his fingernails.
The Hull Daily Mail says Brown held talks with owner Russell Bartlett yesterday following a frenzy of speculation over his future.
And while the City boss was assured he will remain in charge for the Tigers' Premier League trip to Burnley on Saturday, the impending departure of chairman Paul Duffen has thrown his long-term future into doubt.
Duffen was Brown's closest ally at the KC Stadium and he is expected to see his exit from the KC Stadium confirmed today.
And with former City favourite Adam Pearson waiting in the wings, Brown is aware that only a upturn in results can see him remain in the hot-seat.
