Huddersfield midfielder Jonathan Hogg: On a personal level I'm devastated

Huddersfield Town midfielder Jonathan Hogg admits relegation is difficult to take.

Defeat to Crystal Palace sees the Terriers down. They join Derby in becoming only the second Premier League team to be relegated before the end of March.

Hogg explained what the mood was like in the dressing room.

“It's not good. On a personal level I'm devastated because of all the hard work that's gone in to get us where we are today; it's all been taken away from us.

“It's been enjoyable while we've been here (in the Premier League), but we need to make sure we put things right and try our best to bounce back."

Hogg and his teammates went over to applaud all the travelling Town fans following the game and reserved special praise for them post-match.

“Personally, I think the fans have been fantastic for all of us.

“We need to try and give them something to cheer about because they've stuck by us through thick and thin. Credit to them.

“We need to make sure we make them proud and at least get a couple more wins for them."
