Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe won't rule out departures before Thursday's transfer deadline.
Howe was speaking this morning ahead of tomorrow's clash with Aston Villa.
He said: "We are waiting to see what happens. I don't want to talk about individual names.
"It's a complex situation. Nothing is clearcut and all eventualities could happen. What we probably won't do is bring a player in without losing one the other way."
Asked about a move for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey, he replied: “Incorrect."
On talk of a loan move to Celtic for Matt Targett, he stated: “Incorrect, way off. Matt's injured. He's still got some time to go on that. He's a big part of what we're doing."
