Howe rallies Newcastle fans for Brighton top 4 clash

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has urged the fans to turn up the volume when they next play in the Premier League.

The Magpies take on Brighton at St. James' Park on Thursday, with Howe hoping that his team can make it uncomfortable for the Albion.

Newcastle know they must get a win in the game if they are to maintain third place in the Premier League.

He told reporters: "Especially at home it's absolutely crucial that we try and involve the crowd and show them we're in the game to perform and show everyone how committed we are to success for the club. I think that's really vital.

"We're looking forward to it. It's going to be a really good game between two excellent teams.

"I have a lot of respect for Brighton and what they've done this season and watching them against Arsenal I was very impressed.

"It's going to be a tough assignment for us but we're going to take a big step forward."
