Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe admits they weren't at their best for Tuesday night's Carabao Cup win against Bournemouth.
The victory sees Newcastle into the quarterfinals.
Howe said: "I don't think we were at our fluent best today. I thought they made it very difficult for us. We kept doing the right things without being at our very best.
"There'll be players that will benefit from that. We'll be better for that run out.
"We won't get too ahead of ourselves. We'll look at the next round when it comes to our calendar."
On Sven Botman, he added: "Excellent tonight against a direct Bournemouth. I thought it was his best game aerially this season."
