Hoffenheim striker Joelinton is interesting Newcastle United.

The Evening Chronicle says the club's European scouts have indeed checked out the 22-year-old before during trips to Bundesliga venues.

Joelinton has netted 10 times this season and is also wanted by RB Leipzig, but interested clubs have been warned that a fee of €60million could be needed to secure his services.

Nevertheless, this hasn't stopped Newcastle monitoring the former Rapid Vienna player this season - and if United are to keep Rafa Benitez, this is the level of ambition they will have to show.
