Fulham's precarious position on the league table could prove it difficult to sell the club to prospective signings, admits manager Roy Hodgson.
"You would like to have players who say they will be here for the good times and the bad but it is a little naive to think like that.
"My dream would be to have players who want to come here and think they can make the team better and ones who do not think we will go down.
"But I may have to be realistic. There might be a player with a particular quality we are looking for who might insist on a relegation release clause in his contract."
