Henry's actions to by examined by FIFA disciplinary committee

France striker Thierry Henry may still be punished by FIFA over the handball controversy during the World Cup play-off against the Republic of Ireland last month.

The incident will be the subject of a case that the FIFA disciplinary committee will examine and could see Henry miss the start of next year's World Cup if found guilty of unfair play.

"The disciplinary will open a case on the behaviour of the player Thierry Henry," FIFA boss Sepp Blatter said.

"This is a matter of the disciplinary committee and it's not a question of this player or another - it was a blatant unfair playing and was shown all around the world, but I don't know what the outcome will be.

"I have not said that Thierry Henry will be punished, I have said that Thierry Henry will be examined by the disciplinary committee of FIFA."
