Hangeland won't sulk over limited Palace action

Brede Hangeland won't sulk over his bit-part role at Crystal Palace.

Hangeland is happy to act as back-up to Damien Delaney and Scott Dann as long as Crystal Palace are doing well.

The 33-year-old defender said: "I am always happy to play but, at this stage of my career, I am past my personal ambitions and just want the team to win games.

"I am coming towards the end of my career, and I am not going to bang the manager's door down if I am not playing. I am always ready to play but my goal is for the team to win.

"I am happy to support the lads who are playing. We are a hard-working squad and the ones who are not playing can't go and moan. That is important if we want to do well."
