Hamilton midfielder James McArthur has no regrets not following his former teammates to the Premiership.
Two of McArthur's former team-mates left Hamilton last summer with Wigan landing James McCarthy and Brian Easton moving to Burnley.
McCarthy has made two appearances for the Latics while Easton has been restricted to just one Carling Cup start for Burnley.
McArthur, meanwhile, has started all but two SPL games for Hamilton and thinks at just 22 he is better off building up his first-team experience.
"It is difficult to go from playing every week to not getting a regular game," explained McArthur. "James and Brian have found it frustrating although it's been a good experience for them so far.
"They want to play but have some money behind them now. I'm sure both will make a breakthrough, if not this season then next one.
"Staying in the SPL and playing every week isn't the worst thing in the world but who's to say I wouldn't get a game if I moved down south?"
