Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola must first make room if he wishes to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.
City management and Guardiola are in agreement about moving for the wantaway Austria international.
However, The Times says City must first sell before Guardiola is permitted to move for Alaba in the coming days.
Alaba is inside the final year of his current deal and is demanding €400,000-a-week to stay with Bayern.
Guardiola knows Alaba well, with the pair enjoying great success during the City manager's time in charge at Bayern.
