Guardiola to be officially unveiled by Man City on Sunday

Manchester City are planning to unveil their new manager, Pep Guardiola, to fans on Sunday.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss will address City supporters under the shadow of the club's newly launched badge at the city's town hall, the club has announced.

The presentation of Guardiola will be the showpiece of a two-day event named 'Cityzens Weekend' which will kickstart a new era for the club.

"At Manchester City, we are embarking on an exciting new chapter in our history and we wanted to create an event that would allow thousands of fans to celebrate and participate in this, both here in Manchester and around the world," said City chief executive officer Ferran Soriano.

"'Cityzens Weekend' will provide the perfect setting for fans to welcome our new manager, Pep Guardiola, to the club and see the new kit and badge come to life across the Etihad Campus. We look forward to welcoming fans over the weekend and entering this new era together."

Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini, who departed from the club in May, at the Etihad Stadium.
