Guardiola disagrees with Gundogan over Man City display

Pep Guardiola does not agree with Ilkay Gundogan's comments about Tuesday night's loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg.

The German said City were "too nervous" in the 1-0 defeat.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's visit to Crystal Palace, Guardiola said: "I think I don't agree with him; absolutely not. I think when we conceded the goal, nothing happened. In the second-half we were in control. In other games, yes that's true.

"For example against Schalke when we went 0-1 and then in five minutes we conceded two. Our game versus Tottenham was much better than our game in Schalke. The difference was in that game Leroy Sane scored from 50 yards and in this game we missed a penalty. We reacted quite well, we were mentally strong and the team was stable."
