Former Chelsea boss Avram Grant says the club has gaffed allowing Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard to move on.
Cole left Chelsea for AS Roma and Lampard has joined Manchester City on-loan from New York City FC.
"Chelsea could have used both Lampard and Cole for one or two more years," Grant told talkSPORT. "They are still in good shape.
"You need a big squad because Chelsea are playing in all the competitions.
"They could have used them like John Terry. You need young and experienced players in your squad."
