Granit Xhaka has revealed Unai Emery has not named Arsenal's captain for the 2019/20 campaign.
With Laurent Koscielny refusing to play for the club, the Gunners are without a captain with under a week before the Premier League opener against Newcastle United.
"Nobody has spoken about the captain's armband," Xhaka told the club's website.
"The coach hasn't decided but if I have the armband of course I will be happy it's something special but in the end we have to all be captains on the pitch and outside out of the pitch because we need everyone."
