Gold Coast United defender John Curtis has received a one-match ban for his red card against Sydney FC on Sunday.
The former Manchester United man was sent off in the 68th minute, less than a minute after coming on, for his aerial challenge on Hiro Moriyasu.
Curtis was issued with a R1 Red Card for his "Serious Foul Play (e.g. when challenging for the ball)"and as a consequence is to serve a one match suspension which is the minimum sanction for this offence under the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations.
Curtis will now miss Friday night's home clash with Wellington Phoenix.
