Former Rangers and Newcastle United defender Craig Moore is being linked with the assistant manager's post at Gold Coast United. Moore is currently on a short-term playing deal in Greece with Kavala. But the 34-year-old Australia international is already a partner in the Viva Soccer Academy, headquartered on the Gold Coast, and he lives at Hope Island.
A leading United player told the Gold Coast Bulletin: "Anybody with his pedigree would be a great asset to the club. People of Craig's calibre gain instant respect from players.
"He also looks like he's got at least another year in him as a player because he knows how to marshall those around him and doesn't need to cover 100km a game."
