Girona are eyeing Barcelona fullback Sergi Palencia.

Girona are seeking a deal for Palencia, says Sport, after losing Pablo Maffeo. Maffeo has been sold by Manchester City this summer to Girona.

Palencia is doing preseason with the first team squad, though if he remains with Barca will be registered with the B team.

Along with Girona, Sporting Gijon are also interested in the fullback.

Palencia will be reluctant to stay with Barca B this season following their relegation to Segunda B.
