Girona coach Michel was delighted with their 3-0 win against Rayo Vallencia on Monday.

Viktor Tsyhankov had Girona ahead before Savio's late brace in injury-time.

On Savio, who is being linked with Manchester City, Michel said: "I'm sure he will be there next season. I hope we can enjoy him, he is a player on loan and one more year in his training here.

"It would be very good (if he stays)."

"I have spoken with Iñigo about his career as a player. He is a very young boy who has taken the reins of Rayo, which has been my home for a long time. I have the feeling that he is a great person and a great coach at the beginning of his career. They have spoken to me very well about him and as a person he is a great person.

"I have told him to enjoy Vallecas and the team. It is a club that I have in my heart."

He continued: "We knew that Rayo is a team that rarely creates chances. Then they have transition. They have people who accumulate and have the ability to keep the ball and go into spaces. In the first half we were too vertical.
