Manchester United No2 Ryan Giggs feels they've turned the corner with victory at Arsenal.
Giggs claims that last Saturday's 2-1 victory at Arsenal can provide a platform on which to build a more sustained challenge at the top of the table.
"The results haven't been outstanding, but we are slowly getting there and Arsenal was a big game to win," Giggs told the Telegraph. "It was the first away win, against one of the bigger teams, and it was a challenge we met.
"It has happened so many times at Arsenal, that you have to dig in because they are so talented going forward, but you know that if you defend well against them, you will get chances and, after riding our luck, that is what happened.
"As a player, I never really looked at the league table under we were 10-12 games in.
"Obviously, if you are having a nightmare, you will have a little look, but now is when the winter months kick in and you really have to perform."
