Gera knows expectations now raised at West Brom

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Zoltan Gera knows there will be high expectations from fans next season.

After a season on the sidelines due to a combination of ankle and knee injuries, he is relishing the chance to help the club at least match last season's success.

"I think it will be a difficult season next season," Gera told the Albion website.

"Every season is difficult because if you have a bad spell in the season you can go down.

"If we can stay in the top ten that will be very, very good for the club. The squad is very strong and when players have been injured other players have come in and done well.

"I'm sure the club will sign new players and the club will be stronger.

"Expectation will be higher - but that's good for the team."
