Genoa midfielder Strootman delighted for Garcia at Napoli

Genoa midfielder Kevin Strootman is delighted for Rudi Garcia at Napoli.

Strootman played for the new Napoli coach at Roma.

He said: "I'm happy for Garcia even if I'm sorry (Luciano) Spalletti is gone because he's a great coach. I had Garcia both at Roma and at Marseille and he's not only a great coach but also a great person. I hope he does well in Naples, naturally excluding the two matches against us."

Strootman has recently signed a new deal with promoted Genoa.

The Dutchman added to ANSA: "I feel at home and today returning here to the Signorini I had proof of it. We know that this championship will not be like the last, that we will not win ten consecutive games even if we hope so. The important thing will be to mentally get into the season but many of us have already played for safety and this can help."
