Branislav Ivanovic has apologised to Chelsea teammates for his error-riddled performance in defeat to Capital One Cup opponents Swansea City. The Chelsea defender was at fault for both goals as Michael Laudrup's side secured an incredible 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mail says Ivanovic was furious with his performance and had to be calmed down when he made his way down the tunnel and into the Chelsea dressing room.
He then apologised to his Chelsea team-mates for being at fault when Michu opened the scoring and substitute Danny Graham added Swansea's second in injury time.
Chelsea interim coach Rafa Benitez defended the centre half, but Ivanovic has taken full responsibility for the defeat.
