Fulham face being priced out of a deal for Catania striker Maxi Lopez.

The Mirror says Argentine striker Lopez, 27, can leave Italian club Catania this month, with his contract up in June 2013.

Fiorentina have put a £6.5m offer on the table, and Fulham must now match it to get the forward.

Lopez has been penciled in as a possible replacement for unsettled Bobby Zamora.
