Fulham are being seen as serious contenders to sign Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse.
The 28-year-old will be sold by the relegated Saints as he looks to jump straight back to the Premier League.
Ward-Prowse, who is on the fringes of the England squad, could be heading to Craven Cottage.
Per the Press Association, if West Ham sell Declan Rice, they will target Joao Palhinha as a replacement.
Fulham may then look at Ward-Prowse as their candidate to take the Portuguese midfielder's place.
West Ham may even move for Ward-Prowse, although he is not thought to be their first choice.
