Fulham boss Parker relishing Man City test

Fulham boss Scott Parker insists he'll relish facing Manchester City this weekend.

Parker was given something of a baptism of fire when taking the caretaker reigns, with the City clash following up meetings with Chelsea, Leicester City and Liverpool.

And while that trio of fixtures yielded zero points, it certainly hasn't been through lack of effort.

“The three matches we've played have been against top teams, but for all the positives we've taken from them, the results haven't fallen our way," Parker stated. “It's fine margins in this league.

“An offside disallowed goal for Ryan Sessegnon against Chelsea, an error against Liverpool, they're the differences, they're the fine margins. But there have been positives along the way, and we're looking forward to Saturday.

“I feel like I'm saying the same thing every week as it's obviously another massive challenge ahead of us against a fantastic team.

“I think we all understand the challenge ahead; it's fantastic players and a fantastic team, along with a manager who's arguably going to go down as one of the greatest.

“It's a massive challenge for us as a club – the players, myself and the coaches, and with that we are looking forward to it."
