Aston Villa defender Frederic Guilbert has been removed from the club's website.

The 27-year-old was signed by Villa in 2019 for around £4.5million from Caen and went on to make 25 appearances for the club throughout their first season back in the Premier League in that year.

The Frenchman has since fallen out of favour in claret and blue and has spent most of the last two seasons on loan at Strasbourg.

Guilbert has now found himself removed from the squad section on the club's website, taking to Twitter once more to respond to the latest snub, saying: "Cherry on the cake."
