Former QPR, Bristol, Nottingham striker Agogo to join Hibernian

Ghanaian striker Junior Agogo will join Hibernian as soon as his international transfer certificate comes through.

The 31-year old has impressed on trial for Hibs and has signed a one-year contract, joining from Cypriot side Apollon Limassol.

Agogo counts Colorado Rapids, San Jose Earthquakes, QPR, Bristol Rovers and Nottingham Forest as some of his former clubs and Hibs boss Colin Calderwood was delighted to welcome him to Easter Road.

"We are really pleased to be able to add Junior to the squad," Calderwood told the club's official website.

"He is a proven goalscorer and a strong character and he has already settled into Hibernian life in the two weeks he has been on trial with the club.

"Junior never gets fazed by challenges and he will add another dimension to our attacking arsenal. I'm sure the fans will take to him and that his arrival will further strengthen our attacking options."
