Lucas Neill's agent says he will remain patient regarding the next step in his clients playing career. The former Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United captain and Everton loanee recently finished his contract with Turkish club Galatasaray and is on the lookout for a new home.
The Australian skipper is currently enjoying some time off and his UK-based representative, Darren Jackson, said there was no rush to jump into bed with a new club.
"We're assessing a number of options," Jackson, of Inspire Sports Management, told The World Game. "Lucas will look at what's on offer after his holiday and we'll take it from there.
"We would like to get things sorted soon so he can get a good pre-season in but we are not setting any artificial deadlines. And he won't be rushing into anything. It's matter of finding the right club in a timely fashion.
"Lucas is a pedigree player and there's is always interest in players with his level of experience and ability. It would be ideal to have everything sorted out by mid-July."
