Former Barcelona striker David Villa is full of praise for Gavi.

Villa has heaped praise on the Barca midfielder ahead of the weekend's El Clasico against Real Madrid.

He said, “I no longer know whether to call him a youth player because of how he plays and because of the time he has been on the team.

"You almost have to call him a veteran. I have a lot of preference for him because he has a lot of personality and is very complete.

"Technically he is a marvel to watch play and he has no problem going to the ground or putting his head into a split ball. He is a competitive beast and has quality and a lot of potential."
