Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren is planning a double loan raid on Aston Villa.
The Mirror says McClaren is targeting Aston Villa defender Ciaran Clark as he bids to bring in new recruits at Forest.
McClaren will have Villa's Republic of Ireland international watched in a reserve match with Everton on Tuesday.
Clark, 21, has started only one game under new Villa boss Alex McLeish this season and Forest want to take him on loan.
McClaren has been given the green light for loan signings, and is also keen on Clark's Villa team-mate Nathan Baker.
