The French Football Federation (FFF) have lodged a formal complaint against Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
The FFF have taken issue with the Argentina goalkeeper's open mocking of PSG striker Kylian Mbappe during World Cup celebrations in Argentina.
FFF president Noel Le Graet told Ouest-France: "I wrote a letter to my counterpart in the Argentine federation.
"I find these excesses abnormal, in the context of a sports competition, and I find it difficult to understand."
Le Graet also stated that he has initiated "various procedures" against Martinez, without wanting to go into more concrete detail about what that entails.
