Feyenoord warn Tottenham of record compo needed for Slot

Feyenoord will demand record compensation for coach Arne Slot amid interest from Tottenham.

Slot rejected Leeds United earlier this season after their sacking of Jesse Marsch. Now Spurs are keen after the departure of Antonio Conte.

De Telegraaf says Feyenoord will demand in excess of the Dutch record €5m Barcelona paid the KNVB to prise Ronald Koeman away from his Holland national team contract in 2020.

Slot, 44, has a buy-out clause in his contract, but it will only become active in the summer of 2024.

Slot has Feyenoord leading the Eredivisie table by eight points ahead of second-place Ajax.
