Feyenoord demand Newcastle go higher for Nicolai Jorgensen

Newcastle United must go higher to convince Feyenoord to sell Nicolai Jorgensen.

The Toon had a bid of €14.5m rejected by the Dutch giants earlier this week, says AD. Feyenoord chief Martin van Geel has informed Newcastle they will only sell Jorgensen for €25m this month.

For his part, Jorgensen has already accepted personal terms from Newcastle worth €2.5m-a-year for five seasons.

Feyenoord coach Gio van Bronckhorst said: "You know that a lot can happen at this stage of the transfer window. We will therefore have to wait what the coming days will bring.

"You are always dependent on the market. Especially when an English club is interested it can move fast."
