Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is in a race to prove he can be fit for Euro 2024.

The Three Lions shot stopper has suffered an elbow injury on international duty this week.

Johnstone was expected to be one of the backup keepers for Gareth Southgate in Germany this summer.

The Football Association did not confirm the extent of the issue he suffered, as he was one of three pull-outs after the Brazil friendly.

Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker have also gone back to their respective clubs this week.

Neither are expected to be out for very long, but Johnstone's injury is feared to be worse, per The Mail.
